Lahore: Killer sentenced to death
LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Qayyum on Saturday awarded death sentence to a person nominated in a murder case. The court has also ordered the convict, Ishaq Qureshi, to pay Rs 200,000 as compensation to the victim’s heirs. According to the case, Ishaq had gunned down 21–year old Muhammad Aslam alias Ali over a dispute on February 16, 2011 while both were playing snooker. An FIR was registered by Muhammad Sharif, elder brother of the deceased, in Sandha police station.
