Sukkur: 4 women among 7 killed in tribal feuds
SUKKUR: Seven people, including four women, were killed in two separate tribal clashes here on Sunday. Police said that a tribal feud between Tunia and Sundhrani clans in Khadi Tunio village in the limits of Gharhi Yaseen in Shikarpur claimed at least seven lives, including two women. Sources said that police, instead of ending the clash, waited for ceasefire between the two warring tribes.
SSP Shikarpur Pervez Chandio confirmed the killing of six people and said that an operation has been launched to arrest the killers and restore peace in the area. Separately, in the Katcha area in Khairpur, Jodh and Kharal clans clashed over a matrimonial issue.
Hajani Kharal, Anwar Khatoon and her son Haji Khan were killed in the feud. Police shifted the bodies to a hospital in Gambat for post–mortem.
