Karachi: Girl killed resisting rape
KARACHI: Three people, including a teenage girl, were murdered in separate incidents on Wednesday, police said. Ameena, 16, daughter of Meeral, was stabbed to death by her neighbour, Kamran, at his house in Abbas Town in the Sachal police limits. The suspect fled the scene after the attack, leaving her body in a pool of blood. The girl’s body was taken to the JPMC for medico–legal formalities. Kamran asked the girl to come over at his residence and tried to rape her when she visited. When she resisted, he killed her.
Muhammad Farooq, 50, died when some people attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon at a hotel in Tauheed Commercial situated in Defence Phase V. He had been having tea when he was stabbed. His body was carried to the JPMC for a post–mortem. According to Clifton police, the victim lived in the Shoe Market area.
Yusaf, 32, was stabbed to death in his sleep by some people after they barged into his cattle farm house in Machar Colony in the Docks police limits. His other colleagues later saw his body and informed police. A police mobile van took his body to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem. According to police, Yusaf was an employee at the farm house and killed due to an old enmity.
