Karachi: Man gunned down over monetary dispute
KARACHI: A man was gunned down in Keamari over a monetary dispute, police said. They added that Ashiq Hussain and his friend were having tea at a roadside tea stall near Nageena Centre within the remit of the Jackson police station when two men approached him. After a brief chat, they became involved in an altercation, the police said. Suddenly, one of them took out a pistol, fired multiple shots at him and fled, the officials said, adding that the victim’s friend also escaped following the shooting.
The victim, who hailed from Gilgit, died before he could be rushed to hospital, said SHO Fareed Bhatti. He said the victim worked at a private hospital as a technician and was a resident of the Jungle Shah area.
