Nankana Sahib: Cop booked for ‘extorting’ money
NANKANA SAHIB: The district police officer has ordered registration of a case against a police constable and his two accomplices for extorting money from a citizen. Police constable Aftab along with Muhammad Ramzan and Zahid Iqbal threatened Muhammad Imran, a resident of Zeeshan Town, to implicate him in a fake case and extorted Rs20,000 from him. On the direction of the DPO, the City Police have registered the case against accused.
During his visit to District Civil Hospital, Dr Usman Ali Khan said that if any official is found involve in negligence and corruption, he would be dealt with sternly. He directed the hospital administration to provide free medicines to all patients in emergency and outdoor.
