Rawalpindi: 4 dacoits among 14 outlaws arrested
RAWALPINDI: Police claimed to have arrested four members of a dacoit gang allegedly involved in robbery incidents and recovered weapons from their possession. Police recovered two pistols of 30-bore with 13 bullets and two knives from the suspected dacoits identified as Pervaiz, Adeel, Siraj and Kamran, informed police spokesman on Wednesday. According to him, officials of Police Station (PS) Ganjmandi received information that four suspects were sitting at Workshopi Mohala and planning to commit a dacoity somewhere.
Taking action, police conducted a raid and arrested the four suspected dacoits. A case has been registered against the detainees while further investigation was underway, he added. Meanwhile, police apprehended 10 drug peddlers and illegal arm holders and seized 2 kg heroine, 2.1 kg opium, 210 grams of charas, 22 bottles of liquor, 20 tins of beer and two pistols of 30 bore with 8 bullets from the possession. Police also took up cases against the accused and started investigation.
