9 more shot dead, 4 killers held in Karachi
KARACHI: At least nine four persons were shot dead on Thursday in different incidents of firings and violence while police have arrested four alleged killers and money extortionists in Karachi, SAMAA reports. According to details, few motor-bikes riding armed attackers opened fire on persons sitting in a tea restaurant of Federal B Area this evening and fled away easily after killing two and hurting several others. The injured and deceased were moved to hospital where all three injured succumbed to injuries and death tally of the incident mounted to five. Earlier today, one political party’s activist was shot dead in FB area’s Joharabad while tortured dead body was recovered near old vegetables market.
Sixty-year old Muhammad Iqbal was shot dead by armed robbers while trying to resist the robbery attempt in Orangi Town’s Aligarh Bazaar and another youth turned victim of firing by miscreants in Lyari’s Musa Lane.
The police managed to capture four alleged killers, of four policemen, and money extortionists during a raid in Manghopir area of the metropolitan. Amongst held miscreants are included two activists of a banned outfit and they were involved in killings of four policemen and money extortion.
In a separate raid in Surjani Town by the Anti Car Lifting Cell, five motor–bikes’ snatchers were arrested and 45 motor–bikes were recovered from their custody.
