Lahore: Robbers go on rampage in City
LAHORE: Robbers went on the rampage in the City on Thursday. Two motorcyclists held up wife of Shoaib Bin Aziz, Media Advisor to CM Punjab, at MM Alam Road in Gulberg police area and snatched away cash and gold ornaments worth tens of thousands of rupees at gunpoint. Basharat Ali told the police that five dacoits held him up at gunpoint in Badami Bagh police area and snatched away Rs 350,000 from him. The bandits also snatched away sacrificial cow worth Rs 75,000. The police are investigating with no arrest made so far.
Four robbers forced their entry into the Hamza mobile phone shop located in Shahdara police area and held up the shopkeeper at gunpoint. As he offered resistance, they wounded him and fled away after collecting cash and valuables worth Rs 900,000. Six robbers riding on two motorcycles held up two passersby at gunpoint in Shadbagh police precincts and deprived them of cash and mobile phones worth tens of thousands of rupees. The police have failed to trace the robbers. Two motorcyclists held up one Fayyaz at gunpoint in Shadbagh police vicinity and snatched away Rs 400,000 from him at gunpoint. Three gunmen intercepted Sameer, held him up at gunpoint in Harbanspura police area, and snatched away Rs 15,000 and a mobile phone from him. Two cars were also driven away from Garden Town and Liaqatabad police areas.
