Rawalpindi: SI awarded 5-year term in plot fraud case
RAWALPINDI: Special Judge Central (SJC) Iftikhar Ahmed Khan on Thursday awarded five–year imprisonment to a sub-inspector of the Lohi Bher Police Station for his involvement in a plot-grabbing case. The court awarded five–year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs300,000 on Sub–Inspector Malik Muhammad Bashir. Police officials immediately arrested the sub–inspector from the courtroom after the court orders. The court also awarded 15–year imprisonment and imposed the Rs300,000 fine on the property dealer who had supported the sub–inspector in the plot-grabbing case.
Perveen Bibi had filed a case in the court of the special judge central in 1997. The applicant had got a 10-marla plot from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in 1997 in Islamabad, but Sub–Inspector Malik Muhammad Bashir, using his influence, grabbed the plot.
