Karachi police change claim on 2 shot dead, victims’ heirs attack police station
KARACHI: Police have changed claim over two persons, shot dead in North Nazimabad area, while enraged heirs of the victims attacked police station; they torched a police vehicle and hurled stones at police station, SAMAA reported on Friday. According to details, Shahra-e-Noor Jahan Police Station informed o Thursday that two persons were caught and killed by local people while committing robbery. Later on, the police changed the claim after statement of an eye witness and declared that they were common citizens and butchers by profession; they were shot dead by robbers.
The heirs of killed persons turned angry and they protested against police in Abbassi Shaheed Hospital. They also tried to torch a police mobile van during the protest.
After protesting at Abbassi Shaheed Hospital, the furious relatives of deceased butchers attacked Shahra-e-Noor Jahan Police Station.
They torched a police mobile van parked inside the building and damaged the police belongings and building. The police have registered a case against some unknown armed attackers for damaging police vehicle and property.
