Dadu: Land dispute leaves 2 tribesmen dead
DADU: An armed clash between two groups of Chandio tribe left two persons dead and a third one wounded on Friday in Saeedpur village, some 67 kilometres from here. Reports from the area said that the rival groups had a dispute over land for long. On Friday they engaged in fierce clash using automatic weapons and as a result Abbas Chandio, 35, and Sobdar Chandio, 28, died on the spot. Niazal Chandio sustained serious bullet wounds and was rushed to the Sita Town health centre for treatment. SHO Ghulam Mustafa Tunio of the Rajo Deero police station said that the tribesmen had differences over distribution of land. He said that the bodies of were sent to their village after autopsy.
The police officer also stated that a strong contingent of police had been sent to Saeedpur that to bring the situation under control. No one from the rival sides came to the police station to lodge an FIR, the SHO said, adding that two suspects had been arrested from scene in connection with the armed clash.
