Rawalpindi: FIA arrests man accused of killing his wife
RAWALPINDI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man allegedly involved in the killing of his wife, as he landed at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA) from Dubai on Friday, the FIA sources said. Nasrullah Gondal, deputy director at the FIA Anti–Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), said that the name of the accused, Malik Qamar Hussain, was placed on the exit control list (ECL) on the request of the Islamabad Police. He said that Malik Qamar Hussain, resident of Adiala, was allegedly involved in the killing of his wife, Huma, and the Kohsar Police registered a case (FIR No. 125) under Section 302 of the PPC, but the accused escaped to Dubai.
On Friday, as the accused landed at the BBIA by Shaheen Airlines’ flight NL–224, the AHTC arrested him and handed him over to the Kohsar Police Station. Meanwhile, the same team of AHTC arrested two passengers, trying to proceed to European countries on fake travel documents, the FIA said.
