Lahore: Dacoits sweep 10 houses
LAHORE: Dacoits stormed into 10 houses located in different parts of the City and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs 10 millions at gunpoint, police sources said on Monday. Armed bandits forced their entry into the house of Yasir Aslam in Hydyara police limits, held up the family members at gunpoint and escaped after collecting cash, gold ornaments, cellular phones, and other valuables worth Rs 2.6 million. Four gunmen forced their entry into the house of Raees Ahmed in Green Town police vicinity and fled away with cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 2.4 millions.
Other than this robbers barged into the house of Kamal Ahmed in Faisal Town police vicinity and snatched away cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 2.3 millions after holding the inmates hostage’ at gunpoint.
In other house robberies, which took place in Kahna, Nishtar Colony, Kot Lakhpat, Sanda, North Cantonment, Baghbanpura, and Manawan police areas, robbers snatched away cash, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth millions of rupees.
Meanwhile, three cars were stolen from Qila Gujjar Singh, Hanjarwal and Race Course police areas while five motorcycles were either snatched or stolen away.
