Lahore: Teen stabbed to death over cell-phone
LAHORE: A teenage boy stabbed his cousin to death as they scuffled over a mobile phone in Super Town locality in the Defense area, police said on Wednesday night. Ali Raza and his cousin Muhammad Aqeel were playing with a mobile phone at their house located in Super Town when they exchanged harsh words over the possession of the handset on Tuesday night. The killer and the deceased were residing in the same house, police official Anwar ul Haq said. “Aqeel got infuriated and stabbed his cousin Ali Raza in the chest, straight towards the heart,” duty-officer at the Defense police station said, when contacted.
Raza was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to wounds on Wednesday evening. The killer and his family, by locking their house from outside, have fled away. The police have registered the murder case on the complaint of Razia Bibi, mother of the deceased. The dead body has been removed to the morgue for an autopsy. The police are investigating.
