Islamabad: Police arrest 22 suspects
ISLAMABAD: On the directives of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan to keep vigilant eye on suspected elements, Sabzi Mandi Police on Wednesday evening conducted searching and combing in its respective jurisdiction including slum areas and nabbed 22 suspects and impounded 5 vehicles and 30 motorcycles. As per their directions, team of Sabzi Mandi police station headed by SDPO Ashraf Shah and SHO Abid Ikram conducted special checking in the area of Sabzi Mandi Police Station. Various houses, under-construction buildings, inns and slum areas were checked by the police and apprehended 22 suspects during the operation.
Moreover, six vehicles and 30 motorcycles were impounded in police station besides black papers from six vehicles were also removed. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify patrolling and keep vigilant eye on suspected elements.
