Karachi: 2 newly-weds shot dead in separate incidents
KARACHI: Two newly-wed people were shot dead in separate places on Thursday. During investigations, police suspected the involvement of their relatives in the murders. Wali Izat, 35, wife of Habib Khan, was gunned down, after unidentified people barged into her residence in Landhi Rari Goth and opened fire on her, while she was alone in the house. The armed men, after the incident in the Quaidabad police limits, fled from the scene, leaving the body in a pool of blood. Area people after hearing the gun shots rushed to the spot, and immediately informed the police, who shifted the body to the JPMC.
According to the police, that victim hailed from Swat and had four children from her first husband. The police also said that last month she married Khan in his native town and then moved to the city. Today, her relatives reached her house and killed her over some personal enmity, police said.
Meanwhile, Wajiullah, 40, died, when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him near Parsi Ground in Khairabad, said Mangopir police jurisdiction. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem.
According to the police, the victim got married two months back but her brother-in-laws did not accept this union. SHO Mangopir Nasir Bukhari said that today his brother-in-law saw him going towards his residence and killed him.
