Karachi: Passer-by killed in Manghopir shootout
KARACHI: In the Manghopir area Bagh Meer was gunned down during the wee hours of Monday. Police said that it was in the wee hours of Monday when the personnel of the law–enforcement agencies (LEAs) had raided the area of Sultanabad on the presence of militants from a banned outfit. On seeing the personnel of the LEAs the militants opened random fire upon the personnel during which a passerby Meer was shot at who was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he succumbed to the bullet injury. Moreover, the LEA personnel had rounded-up some suspects under suspicion. Meer had suffered a single bullet wound on his chest which became the cause of his death. He was the resident of the same area and hailed from Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. A case was reported and investigation is under way.
