Gujranwala: Kidnap, murder of boy for ransom; 3 handed down death on 4 counts
GUJRANWALA: The anti–terrorism court awarded death on four counts to three people for kidnapping and killing a boy for ransom. According to the prosecution, Khurram Masih, Ajmal Masih and Sajjad Masih had kidnapped 12-year-old Atif in June and demanded Rs 20 million for his release. Later, they killed the boy and threw the body on a road after his parents could not pay the ransom. The court also ordered to confiscate the properties of the convict besides issuing arrest warrants for the fourth accused. The Civil Lines police had registered a case.
