Man kills wife on suspicion in Pindi
RAWALPINDI: A man stabbed to death his wife in his house here on Wednesday at Dhoke Chaudhrian, alleging that she was having illicit relations with someone. Soon after killing his wife, the man severely injured himself with a blade. Police shifted the dead body to hospital while the injured man to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) for treatment, where the condition of the killer was stated to be out of danger. A murder case has also been registered. The deceased was identified as Musarat Bibi, 28, and killer as Abid Hussain, a hotel waiter by profession.
Sub Inspector Raja Saeed, the investigation officer of PS Airport, while quoting the statement of Muhammad Asif son of Abdul Majeed, living at Dhoke Hassu, said that his sister Musarat Bibi got married with Abid Hussain someone and half month ago. But soon after the marriage, the couple engaged in quarrels as Abid suspected that his wife had illicit relations with someone.
On the day of incident, Abid stabbed his wife to death and later injured his sensitive parts of body with a sharp blade, the SI added while quoting the statement of the applicant.
Police and rescuers, on receiving information, rushed to the crime scene, shifted the dead body to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for autopsy whereas the injured man to BBH for medical treatment.
On a query, Raja replied that the injured man was under treatment at BBH and his condition was stable. A murder case has been registered against him and further interrogation was on, he asserted.
The killer would be taken into custody when the doctors discharged him from the hospital, he said responding to another query.
