Cash, jewellery taken away in Kasur hits
KASUR: Dacoits looted cash, jewellery and other valuables and injured a shopkeeper on resistance in five strikes here on Thursday. Near Adda Phoolnagar two armed dacoits entered a gas supply shop of Mukhtar and snatched Rs 250,000 in cash from him. When another shopkeeper, Rahmat, tried to catch the dacoits, they injured him and fled. Eight dacoits entered the house of Muhammad Ashiq at Orara in Raja Jang Police area, hostage the family and looted cash, jewellery and mobile phones. A gang of 12 dacoits deprived a family of cash and cellphones at gunpoint at village Hanjrai Kalan in the limits of Sarai Mughal Police. The dacoits scaled the walls of the house of Muhammad Zubair and held the family hostage at gunpoint and took away cash and three cellphones.
