Karachi: Young man killed by in-laws
KARACHI: A young man was killed by his in-laws over a Watta Satta issue on Saturday. Twenty-two-year-old Salman Shah, a labourer by profession, was shot dead in Madina Colony within the precincts of Shah Latif town police limits. The murder took place due to Watta Satta marriage and a case was lodged on the complaint of the deceased’s father Khan Mohammed against four nominated suspects which includes Jalood Khan, Khan Boora, Khako and Ansar. Mohammed said that he along with his children was residing in Madina Colony and deceased Shah was his younger son. A few months back he got Shah married to the daughter of his elder brother. It was earlier decided that he would marry his daughter into the family of accused Jalood Khan.
He added that due to reservations from his family members he refused to get his daughter married in Khan’s family. Due to this tension developed between both the families and on Saturday morning accused Khan with others came to his house and called Shah out and shot and killed him and fled. A case was registered and investigation is underway.
