Lahore: Ahad family bails dismissed in fraud cases
LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Arshad Ali on Saturday dismissed pre–arrest bails of Abdul Ahad Malik, his wife Riffat and son Yousaf in fraud cases. The accused had filed pre-arrest bails in five fraud cases registered against them in Garden Town police station under PPC Sections 420, 468 and 471. The counsel for the accused argued that his clients were innocent and implicated in false cases. He said that an agreement had been signed between complainants and the petitioners, according to which the petitioners were not responsible in case of any natural calamity.’
However, the prosecution argued that the petitioners had robbed the public at large of huge money and raised illegal construction and sold shops not owned by them. The judge in his order said that during investigation the petitioners had been found guilty and failed to point out any malafide or ill will in their false implication on behalf of complainants or local police and dismissed the bails.
