Toba Tek Singh: 3 women among 7 dead in mishaps, enmity
TOBA TEK SINGH/HAFIZABAD/BAHAWLPUR/OKARA: Seven persons including three women were killed in different incidents of honour killing, mishaps and enmity here on Friday. As per details, two women were murdered here in Chak 747/GB near Arrouti over a dispute here on Friday. According to police, both the women – Jannat Bibi and her daughter Ballan Bibi were in their house when Younis and Manzoor attacked and and shot them dead on the spot. Reportedly, both parties had a dispute over property ownership. The police registered a case and started raids for the arrest the accused.
HAFIZABAD, three persons were killed in two separate incidents happened at two different places here on Friday.
According to police source, Muhammad Naeem and Abid Ali of Chheenay Khanqan Dogran were on the way to Kot Momin on a tractor-trolley. When they reached near Thathi Behlol, a speeding truck collided head-on with the tractor-trolley. As a result Naeem and Abid died on the spot. However, the truck driver fled the scene. The police have registered a case.
Meanwhile, a 35–year–old addict Shafqat, a resident of Kolo Tarar died of drugs overdose. According to police source Shafqat took overdose of drugs and fell unconscious. He was rushed to hospital but could not survive.
BAHAWALPUR, a brick–kiln Owner killed his wife for having extramarital relations with someone and threw her body on roadside. According to details, the Sahja Police found the dead body of a 30–year–old woman which was shot in the head. Later, she was identified as Zainab Bibi, a resident of Mohallah Nizamabad Khanpur.
Her relatives told that Zainab had been married off to Shahzad Khan Pathan, owner of a brick–kiln. However, he doubted that his wife had developed illicit relations with someone namely Shahid. He took his second wife Zainab to the Sahja area and shot her four times in her. He later, threw the body on roadside. The police registered a case against Shahzad Khan.
OKARA, three culprits gunned down a samosa and pakora vendor in Kiriwala Jageer locality, the other day.
Fida Hussain, son of Manzoor Ammad, a resident of Kiriwala Jageer was at his shop when three persons including M Hussain, M Yaseen and Nazeer Ahmad came there and ate pakoras and samosas. However, when Fida demanded money they flared up and opened firing, killing him instantly. The police handed over the body to the family after autopsy and registered a case.
