4 gunned down across Balochistan
QUETTA: Four people were killed and a bullet–riddled body was found in Balochistan on Monday. Turbat Police Station Constable Muhammad Azam told Daily Times a passer-by spotted a body in Murgab area and informed the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy. The body was identified as that of Niaz Ahmed. “The body received bullets in the head and chest, which caused the death,” hospital sources said. A relative of the deceased got a case registered against unidentified persons.
In a second incident, at least two people were gunned down in Killi Umer area of district Chaghai. According to sources, unidentified armed men entered a refugee camp in the area and opened fire, killing two people. In a third incident, a man was gunned down on Sariab Road in Quetta near Karachi Bus Stop. According to police, unidentified armed men opened fire on a private bus, leaving its cleaner dead on the spot. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased to the Civil Hospital Quetta. In another incident, a man was killed and two others injured near RCD Highway in Nushki. According to Balochistan Levies sources, a private company’s gas tanker was on its way from Iran to Quetta when unidentified armed men opened fire on it. Resultantly, a man was killed and two others injured.
