Karachi: Bandit among 3 killed in separate incidents
KARACHI: Three people, including a bandit, were killed in separate acts of violence, here on Monday. A man was killed inside his house in Mehran Town within the vicinity of Korangi Industrial Area police station. According to police, an armed man barged into the house and opened fire on 56-year-old Ameer, son of Akbar, and escaped. Ameer received multiple bullet wounds and died on the way to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). Police said that the victim got married with a woman Ishrat some time ago, and viewed that Ishrat’s relatives might be behind the incident.
The deceased hailed from Hazara. Another man was shot dead at Khuda Ki Basti within the limits of Surjani police station. According to police, Syed Adnan 32, son of Syed Shakeel, was on his way to home, when armed riders shot him dead and escaped. The body was brought to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico–legal formalities. The deceased was the resident of Korangi area. Further investigation was underway.
An alleged bandit was killed near a hotel along Maripur road within the jurisdiction of Kalri police station. A police official said that a couple of bandits were mugging a passerby, when area people trapped them.
Meanwhile, unidentified armed man opened fire at bandits, resultantly a bandit, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, received bullet injury and died on the spot, while other fled. The body of the bandit was brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy and later moved to a morgue for identification.
