Rawalpindi: 4 kidnapped for ransom in November
RAWALPINDI: Four persons were kidnapped for ransom during first 17 days of November, according to a crime report issued here on Monday. As many as 64 vehicles (38 cars and 26 bikes) were stolen or snatched during the same period, the report said. It added that the residents of the city were deprived of Rs16.8 million by bandits. Dacoits looted gold ornament worth Rs8.1 million and cash of Rs6.2 million, while burglars took away gold worth Rs2.5 million. Police arrested 29 court absconders and 23 proclaimed offenders during first 17 days of the current month, the report said.
