2 killed separately in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: Two persons, including an old man, were murdered in different parts of the city here on Tuesday. Police said that a shopkeeper shot dead 30–year–old Shahid Ameen, son of Safdar, at Hazara Colony on a petty issue and fled the scene. Police said that Shahid bought a mobile SIM from Shabbir Hussain, the shopkeeper running a general store along with business of easy load, at Hazara Colony. After finding no balance in the SIM, the consumer returned to the shopkeepers and protested over it. The shopkeeper got infuriated and pulled out his 30-bore pistol and fired a bullet towards Shahid killing him on the spot. “Shahid Ameed received single bullet injury on his chest and died,” police added.
After committing the crime, the killer managed to flee the scene. Police moved the dead body to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for autopsy. A murder case has been registered and police is conducting raids to arrest the murderer.
In the second incident, an old man was allegedly strangulated to death by a massager in Dhoke Kamaldin. Police registered a case against the unknown massager and started investigation.
Saeed Bhatti, the son of the deceased, in his application filed with police, stated that his father Muhammad Razzaq, 60, was running a general store at Shah Khalid Colony.
Last night, his younger brother Riasat saw their father while entering the home with a massager. He added that in the next morning their mother went to the room of their father to serve him breakfast when she found him (father) dead with marks of wounds on his neck.
He alleged the massager of strangulating his father to death and escaped with a motorcycle, pistol and property documents. Police took up a murder case and launched investigation with no arrest so far. The dead body was moved to DHQ for autopsy.
