5 security guards of Jang Building abducted in Quetta
QUETTA: Five security guards of a private company, deployed at the Daily Jang offices in the city, were abducted at the night between Thursday and Friday. However, one security guard was released after identification. According to details, when the security guards were busy in performing their duties at the Jang Building located on the Samungli Road, some unidentified masked persons with arms approached the building in three vehicles and forced a guard at gunpoint to open the main gate of the building. On entering, they started beating the guards and forced them to sit in the vehicles.
The armed persons asked all the five guards about their caste, and freed a guard Samiullah along with the weapons of other security guards. They fled the place with four security guards. On receiving information, Daily Jang Station Manager Muhammad Athar reached the building, and, after knowing details of the incident, approached Jinnah Town Police Station and got an FIR registered about the incident.
The Jinnah Town police officials compiled a report after inspecting the site and started further investigations. The freed security guard, Samiullah, later told the investigators that the armed persons took his four colleagues, Ahmad Jan, Asif, Allah Rakha and Munir, along with them. It is to be mentioned here that security forces’ checkpost and Sadar Police Station are located only a few yards away from the Jang Building.
