Rawalpindi: Murder accused held; shop looted
RAWALPINDI: Police arrested a murder accused on Thursday. The weapon used in killing was also recovered, informed SHO Azhar Shah. According to him, the killer Amir Khan, who was running a grocery shop with business of easy load at Hazara Colony, gunned down Shahid Amin on November 20, 2012 on the issue of a mobile phone SIM. Police also obtained the remand of the killer from area magistrate, he added. Meanwhile, four unknown robbers equipped with weapons stormed into an auto spare parts shop located at Messi Gate on Adam Jee Road and made off with cash.
Akhther Malik, the owner of Sarwaq Traders, told that he along with his brother and six other sales men was busy dealing with customers when four robbers entered his shop and made the entire staff hostage at gunpoint. Later, the robbers dragged all the staffers to an office. “One of the robbers snatched purse from my brother Ashraf Malik, pulled out cash, threw the wallet and run away,” he said.
