Islamabad: Blind murder suspect arrested
ISLAMABAD: The Shahzad Town Police arrested the ringleader of a gang, Noor Hassan alias Noora Afghani, for his alleged involvement in a blind murder case, the police spokesman said on Tuesday. On September 30, Ghazi Khan, son of Saman Khan, resident of Pindorian, lodged a complaint with the Shahzad Town Police Station that unidentified men entered into the house of his neighbour, Arshad Mehmood, for some unknown motives and his daughter shouted to seek help and called him.
He said that he, along with his son, rushed to provide her help but the culprits opened fire on them and his son sustained multiple bullets and died on the spot. His neighbour, Arshad Mehmood, and his daughter sustained serious injuries. An FIR (No.484) under Sections 302 and 459 of the PPC was registered with the Shahzad Town Police Station.
SP (Rural) Sardar Sadaqat asked the SHOs to ensure arrest of assassins at the earliest and constituted a team headed by DSP (Rural) Arshad Khokhar. The team traced the killers and arrested Noor Hassan alias Noora Afghani, son of Muhammad Hussain, resident of Dhoke Kala Khan, from Burma Town, Islamabad. A police team has been conducting raids at different places to arrest the co–accused. Further investigation is underway from the nabbed ringleader.
