Islamabad: 24 arrested in search operations
ISLAMABAD: The Margalla and Shalimar police stations have arrested a total of 24 suspects during search operations in their respective areas, the police spokesman said on Thursday. The search operation was conducted in various places, including slums, Afghan habitats, under-construction buildings, houses and hotels. A total of 24 suspects, who could not produce any document for their identification, were arrested. IGP (Islamabad) Bani–Amin Khan and SSP (Islamabad) Yaseen Farooq have directed police to expand the search operation to other areas of the city to ensure security in the capital.
