Karachi: ANF recovers 3,732kg charas
KARACHI: Anti Narcotics Force recovered 3,732kg charas after an encounter with the drug traffickers in Ameenabad area of district Chaghi, Balochistan. According to the statement, the ANF had received information that some Afgan–based drug traffickers had brought large quantity of narcotics into Pakistan and dumped in Ameenabad area of district Chaghi in Balochistan for sending it to Iran. On this information, the ANF made a plan to burst this gang.
A raid was carried out on the narcotics den in the desert of Chaghi district. On seeing ANF squad, the drug traffickers started firing which continued for hours. They escaped in the cover of darkness and heavy firing. On search of the den, 3,732kg of charas was recovered from the deserted hut. A case has been registered at Dalbadin police station against the drug traffickers and further investigation is in progress.
Reporter It is pertinent to point out that in the last few days, this is the ANF’s four big seizures. Earlier, the ANF has seized 1,795kg opium, 1020kg charas and 27kg heroin in different operations. The value of the recovered drugs in international market is in billons. The ANF is determined to eradicate the menace of drugs from the country for which each member of the force is working round the clock to protect the youth from the drug menace.
