Karachi: 3 involved in ‘200 robberies’ held
KARACHI: Three men allegedly involved in more than 200 robbery cases were arrested on Tuesday. The Sharea Noorjehan police said they signalled a Toyota Corolla car bearing the licence plate number KGN-007 to stop. However, the men inside the car opened fire on them. The police fired back and managed to arrest them. A Kalashnikov and a repeater were recovered from their possession. During interrogation, the three men disclosed their names as Firaz, Wahid Bukhsh and Shah Muhammad.
They confessed to their involvement in over 200 robberies. The police said the vehicle they were travelling was snatched from the Ferozabad police jurisdiction. The Sharea Noorjehan SHO told The News that the gang of robbers also had female members. The police also seized fake Federal Investigation Agency and Sindh police cards from the arrested men.
