237 booked for sectarian clash in Mankera
BHAKKAR: The police booked 237 people, including 37 nominated ones, for a sectarian clash in Mankera on Wednesday. Abdul Qadir Wasfi, son of Maulana Muhammad Abdullah and Chiragh Din, son of Abdul Hameed, of Qila Mankera alleged that Samar Abbas, Zafar Abbas, Zaigham Iqbal, Hassan Iqbal, Safdar Master Jhand, Ashiq Shah, Asghar Shah, Taimoor Abbas, Munawar Abbas, Ulfat Machi and Samar Abbas had pelted the house of Maulana Muhammad Abdullah with stones blared loudspeaker during Azan and funeral prayers.
The police registered a case against the accused under sections 149, 147, 295-A of the PPC and section 13 of the Amplifier Act. On the other hand, Samar Abbas Baqri of Mankera alleged that Muhammad Abdullah, Abdul Qadir, Siddique, Noor Muhammad Siddiqui, Ghulam Hussain, Umar Farooq, Inamul Haq Farooqi, Chiragh Din, Haji Abdul Salam, Mudassar, Tanveer, Naveed Saeed, Bilal, Jameel, Anjum, Sharif, Muhammad Hussain and others had attacked women who were going to their homes after a Majlis and injured one of them. The police registered the case against the accused under sections 149, 147, 354 and 341 of the PPC.
