Burewala: NAB arrests PPP MPA’s son in fraud case
BUREWALA: A National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation team Sunday arrested Shahzad Saleem Bhatti, son of PPP MPA from Burewala City Sardar Khalid Saleem Bhatti, in Ogra former chief Tauqir Sadiq’s fraud case. Shahzad Saleem was declared a front man of Tauqir Sadiq to allegedly receive more than Rs 50 million from different parties to get their CNG stations approved from Ogra former chairman Tauqir Sadiq.
Shahzad Saleem allegedly received Rs 3000,000 each from Muhammad Iqbal Bhatti, Muhammad Saleem Chohan of Arifwala, Muhammad Shafiq Butt of Muzaffargarh, Mirza Shahzad Ahmad of Burewala, Sprint Energy of Bahawalnagar–Hasilpur and others. The NAB proved that the parties had transferred the money to Shahzad Saleem’s bank accounts. The NAB investigations found him guilty of taking money and former NAB DG Special Operations Colonel Shahzad Bhatti allegedly received Rs 6000,000 from him and disassociated him from further investigations, but newly-appointed DG Special Operations Colonel Subah Sadiq Khan ordered new inquiry into the matter and ordered his arrest. A NAB investigation officer confirmed the arrest of Shahzad Saleem and told The News that Shahzad Saleem was one of main accused persons in Ogra Tauqir Sadiq’s fraud case.
