Karachi: Over 24 suspects held in targeted operation
KARACHI: Law Enforcers claimed to have nabbed over two dozens of suspects in separate targeted raids in different parts of the metropolis on Sunday. They conducted operation in Raja Tavneer Colony situated in Orangi Town and claimed to have apprehended over a dozen of suspects besides recovering a large cache of ammunitions from their possession. A police official said that on a tip-off, a heavy contingent of law enforcers conducted a targeted operation in Raja Tanveer colony and cordoned off the link road heading towards the colony.
He claimed to have apprehended over a dozen of suspected men, including a political party vice president Khanzad, and took them to undisclosed destination for questioning. The official said that a large quantity of weapons were also seized during the operation.
Similarly, law enforcers also conducted a targeted raid in Daryaabad area, arrested an alleged member of outlawed Lyari gang war and seized heavy weaponry.
According to sources, the law enforcers conducted a raid in Daryabad area, arrested a notorious member of Lyari warfare and recovered SMG, M16 and a large quantity of mixed weaponry from his possession. The accused was taken to undisclosed site for further interrogation.
Separately, law enforcers carried out a raid in Ittehad town, Baldia area and claimed to have detained at least a dozen of suspects affiliated with an outlawed organisation and recovered weapons from their possession.
