Rawalpindi: 53 kgs Opium, 80 heroin-filled capsules recovered by ANF
RAWALPINDI: The Anti–Narcotics Force (ANF) in two different hits at GT Road near Tarnol and Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), recovered heavy quantity of opium and heroin–filled capsules from two drug–pushers, ANF said. he ANF authorities received information from their intelligence sources that drug–mafia would try to transport heavy quantity of hashish to the Punjab and Karachi by a car, the ANF said, adding that teams were deployed at different entry points including GT Road.
The team intercepted a tipped-off car at GT Road near Tarnol and recovered 53 kilograms of opium concealed in secret cavities of the car. The ANF arrested the driver of the car identified as Aks Ahmad. In another breakthrough, the ANF arrested a passenger identified as Sabir Zaman hailing from Nowshera at BBIA proceeding to Urumuqi China by Chinese Air Line Flight CZ 6008 and recovered 80 heroin–filled capsules from his stomach.
