Rawalpindi: Pirwadhai Police recover kidnapped youth
RAWALPINDI: The Pirwadhai Police have recovered a young man kidnapped for ransom from Ratta Amral after encounter with the captors and arrested four suspects including two women Wednesday evening, the police spokesman said. 25-year-old Jameel, son of a businessman, was kidnapped for ransom last month from Khayaban–e-Sir Syed and the captors, later demanded Rs10 million as ransom for the safe release of the young man, but the relatives of the kidnapped man informed the police after unsuccessful bargaining with the captors.
The police took up the case and traced the location of the captors at Ratta Amaral, the police said and added that a police party conducted the raid at the hideout to recover the young man, but the captors opened fire at the police, which resulted in an encounter. The police however, overpowered the situation and compelled the captors to surrender and arrested four people including two women recovering the young man tied with chains from their custody.
