Islamabad: 2 gangs of criminals busted
ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Police has busted two gangs involved in street crimes, dacoities, snatching of mobile phones and vehicles at gunpoint, the police spokesman said on Sunday. DSP (CIA) Zubair Shaikh constituted the team comprising ASI Tasneem Ahmed, constables Sabir Ali, Ghulam Jilani and Faisal Memud which managed to bust a gang involved in street crime, mobile snatching, dacoities and other criminal activities. The nabbed gangsters were identified as Sajid Zaman Abbassi, Hamid Ejaz ul Haq, Mubeen Shah, Aqib Azad, Khan Wali. The police recovered 15 mobile phones, two motorbikes, laptops, three pistols and two daggers from them.
The nabbed persons confessed their involvement in several dacoities in the areas of Koral, Industrial Area and Shehzad Twon police stations. Meanwhile, the team also busted another gang of car thieves besides recovering CNG kits and parts of the vehicles from it. The gang members have been identified as Nawazish Ali and Yasir Iqbal who confessed their involvement in car theft activities in Rawalpindi area. Nawazish Ali had also remained a jailbird and was wanted to Tarnol Police in a criminal case.
