Islamabad: Woman drug pusher held, 3.9kg heroin seized
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have foiled a bid to smuggle heroin and arrested a female for possessing 3.9 kilograms of heroin which she was trying to smuggle from Peshawar to Rawalpindi, a police spokesman said on Sunday. On a tip off, SP (Saddar) Sajid Kiyani constituted a team of Golra Police to combat increasing trend of drug pushing. This team arrested a female smuggler Farkhanda Yasmeen from Pind Paracha bus-stop and recovered 3.9 kilograms of heroin from her possession. During initial investigation, she confessed to smuggle it from Peshawar to Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Sabzi Mandi Police apprehended Adam Khan and Abid besides recovering 12–bore gun, 44 cartridges and a liquor bottle from them. Tarnol Police arrested an accused, Yousuf, who assisted a proclaimed offender, Shahid Akhtar, to decamp from his hideout where police raided to arrested him.
