Islamabad: Capital police bust 3 gangs of criminals
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police on Monday busted three groups and arrested 12 criminals involved in theft, selling drugs and recovered various looted items worth millions of rupees, mobile phones, cash and weapons used in unlawful activities. According to a spokesman of Islamabad police here, on the directives of Inspector General Bani Amin Khan, SSP Islamabad Yasin Farooq had given a task to SHOs to arrest elements involved in criminal activities in the city. On the instructions, Islamabad police initiated action against the unlawful activities and arrested 12 criminals.
Police Station Bara Kho had arrested a group of three accused involved in robberies. The criminal involved identified as Hadir Shah, Hassan Mir and Fazan residence of Bara Kho and New Abadi.
They have been arrested from Kohisar town and recovered two three bore pistols, one 12 bore gun and ammunition from them. The case had been registered against them.
CIA police Sub Inspector Muhammad Ali and ASI Naseem Ahmed had arrested five accused of two groups of criminals involved in gun point snatching and robberies.
The criminals identified as Shan Meshi, Rastim Meshi, Babar Hussain, Javid Iqbal Abbasi. The culprits had admitted the criminals’ activities in Abpara, Tarnol, Koral, Shahzad town, industrial areas Margalla, Shalimar police stations.
The police had also recovered snatched mobiles and cash from them and started the investigation of the cases.
Ramna police station inspector Abdur Raziq arrested accused Nawaz Khan and recovered 80 gm chars while Banigala police station ASI Nadar Ali arrested accused Bilal and recovered 3 bottles of wine.
SI Muhammad Hanif of Shhazad town police station arrested Shahoor Rahmid Meshi and recovered 12 bottles of wine while Shalimar police station had arrested accused Haleem involved in theft.
Inspector General Islamabad Police Bani Amin Khan and SSP Yasin Farooq lauded the efficient performance of police personnel and announced certificates for them.
