Sargodha: 22 Forest officials booked
SARGODHA: Six officers among 22 officials of the Forest Department have been booked on the charges of embezzlement and logging of trees worth over Rs280 million. Anti–Corruption Establishment (ACE) have registered a case against the accused officials and began raids for their arrest. According to the ACE, Punjab Chief Minister Special Advisor on Forest Department Shafqat Husnain Panda had brought into the notice of the CM embezzlement and theft of official tress on huge level in Bhakkar district. At which the CM ordered to probe into the matter. The ACE authorities carried out an investigation and establish the charges.
Following the inquiry report case has been registered against District Forest Officer (DFO) Sajid Qadus, DFO Allyas Bashir, EDO Asad Imran, Range Officer Talat, Usman, Tahir Gondal and other officials. Whereas, a separate inquiry has also been initiated against Conservator Forest Sargodha Division Dr Muhammad Rafiq.
