Arms, explosive material seized from Quetta
QUETTA: Police Saturday seized a huge cache of arms and explosive material from Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. The police officials said that the explosive material was planted on railway track in Killi Mengalabad Sariab area of Quetta. “Railway track watchman spotted a suspicious object and informed police. The police and Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to site and defused the explosives,” they said, adding that explosives were weighing about 8 to 10 kilograms. Separately, unknown persons had planted a remote controlled bomb under a bridge in Kuchlak.
The residents of the area spotted the bomb and informed the Police. Police acted timely and defused a bomb weighing 25 to 20kg. Similarly, security forces intercepted a suspicious vehicle near Hameed Junction in district Killa Abdullah and seized explosive devices.
