Khanewal: Outlaw carrying Rs 1m head money arrested
KHANEWAL: Police Monday claimed to have arrested four outlaws including a proclaimed offender carrying Rs 1 million head money. Multan RPO Aamir Zulfiqar Khan in a press conference said proclaimed offender Arif alias Arfi Luk had been looting people for a long time and his name was included in the list of top ten criminals of Khanewal district and he had Rs 1million head money. The RPO said police on a tip–off raided the house of Allah Ditta in Nawan Shehar Police area.
On seeing the police party, the criminals started firing which was retaliated by the police and after an encounter police managed to capture Arif Luk and his three accomplices Ishaq Jhandir, Falak Sher Kharl and Ansar Luk. Police recovered five hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs, two guns (44–bore and 7mm) and bullets from the criminals. RPO Aamir Zulfiqar appreciated the efforts of Khanewal DPO Rai Ejaz Ahmad for arresting the gang. DPO Rai Ejaz said Khanewal police started a special campaign against absconding offenders and culprits. He said ringleader Arif was involved in more than 18 murders, dacoities and robberies.
