Rawalpindi: 2 dacoits gangs busted; 8 arrested
RAWALPINDI: Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted two gangs of dacoits and arrested their eight members from various areas. According to police spokesman, two dacoits gangs namely “Fauji” and “Chota Don” were busted and police recovered weapons and stolen items from the possession of the arrested accused. According to details, City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Azhar Hameed Khokhar on increasing crime rate in Taxila circle, formed special teams under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Taxila Circle Raja Tafoor Akhtar.
The police teams comprising SHO, Taxila Police Station, Malik Muhammad Khan, SHO, Wah Saddar Police Station Zulfiqar Ali and others after hard efforts managed to bust the dacoits gangs and arrested their members.
SHO, Taxila and his team busted ‘Fauji’ gang and arrested its ring leader namely Muhammad Fauji alias Gardu son of Ziarat resident of Railway Road Taxila, Ajmal Khan lias Kaku resident of Mardan, Mirza Khan alias Kana, resident of Taxila, Umar Zaman alias Khar resident of Taxila and Muhammad Khan Alias Tan Tu Kara resident of Taxila.
The police recovered weapons, looted items including cash Rs 3000, nine mobile phones, four DVD players, one TV, two buffers, eight head phones and other items.
Meanwhile, another gang identified as ‘Chota Don’ gang was busted and its ringleader, Sultan Mahmood alias ‘Chota Don’, resident of Taxila, Fazal Malak, alias Vana resident of Taxila and Shamasullah alias Sheikh resident of Taxila were sent behind the bars.
The police recovered weapons, stolen Honda CG125 and other items from the custody of the arrested accused.
Furthermore, Taxila police in its crackdown against anti–social elements recovered 3695 kg charas, 100 litres of liquor, 5150 kg heroin and 8400 detonators and registered cases in this connection.
