Gujranwala: 5 officials among 7 booked
GUJRANWALA: The Anti–Corruption Establishment has registered cases against seven people, including five officials of the Nandipur Town, for stealing files and misappropriating funds. During an inquiry, ACE Assistant Director Ijaz Munir Gondal found TO P&C Pervaiz Pahsa and Inspectors Imran Elahi and Azhar Cheema guilty of stealing total 219 files of the approved building plans.
In another case, the ACE deputy director held an inquiry into embezzlement of funds from a Citizen Community Board (CCB) project on the complaint of Sajjad. He found the Nandipur TO, a sub–engineer, CCB chairman Faisal and secretary Imran Qamar guilty of misappropriating Rs 1.12 million.
