Islamabad: Police apprehends 11 accused including 2 lady smugglers
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has apprehended 11 culprits including two lady smugglers and recovered 50 bottles of wine, 10kg of charas and five pistols with 116 of rounds of ammunition from their possession, on Thursday. According to an Islamabad police spokesman, on the directives of Inspector General Bani Amin Khan, Islamabad SSP Yasin Farooq had issued orders to tighten security and to arrest elements involved in criminal activities in the city. Islamabad police arrested 11 people who were accused of being involved in illegal activities, during a crackdown.
A team under the supervision of Saddar ASP Rana Tahir Rehman Khan and Tarnol Police Station Sub–Inspector Muhammad Ghulam Shahbir arrested two residents of Haji Camp Peshawar, identified as, Sidra Bibi and Farzana, from Jangi Sayeeda and recovered 9.68kg of charas from their possession.
Meanwhile, ASI Ali Asgher and ASI Ali Azmat arrested Shaukat Ali Khan during a search operation and recovered five 30 bore pistols with 116 rounds of ammunitions.
Shahzad Town Police Station Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ilyas arrested Tahir Raza and recovered 1.2kg charas from his possession, after being tipped off.
Margalla Police station Sub–Inspector Abdur Sattar arrested Adsan Meshi and recovered 50 bottles of wine, during a search operation.
Lohi Bhir Police Station arrested Wahib, Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Irshad, Imran and Iftikhar for allegedly being involved in robberies. Islamabad Police Inspector General Bani Amin Khan and Islamabad SSP Yasin Farooq have lauded the performance of police officials and patrolling officers have been directed to further tighten security, so relief could be provided to the masses.
