Hafizabad: Ex-DSP, SHOs escape arrest after bail rejection
HAFIZABAD: A cope was arrested after the Anti–Corruption judge refused bail to him on charges of perversion of truth in a murder case while other accused including former DSP and SHOs managed to escape from the court. A 15–year–old boy of Jalalpur Bhattian was allegedly sodomised and murdered by one Waqas and his accomplices in a rice mill in Jalalpur Bhattian about a year ago but the police and doctors declared his death as incidental and the accused managed to flee abroad.
Thereupon, the parents of the deceased called on Punjab Chief Minister and complained that an influential MPA of the area was patronising the accused and police were perverting the truth.
The Chief Minister and Punjab IG constituted a special committee to reinvestigate the case.
Following the findings of the committee, the Jalalpur Bhattian Police registered a case U/S 155 C&D/207/218 & 201 PPC against former Pindi Bhattain DSP, former Jalalpur Bhattain SHOs, MO THQ Pindi Bhattian and four officers of chemical laboratory in Lahore and Anti–Corruption Estabalishment Circle Incharge Rana Muhammad Ramzan was deputed to investigate the case afresh.
The Anti–Corruption Court rejected the bail of the accused allegedly involved in turning the murder case into an incidental death by concealing the facts and preparing fake medical report.
Police Sub–Inspector Muhammad Yaqoob was arrested however, all other accused including former Pindi Bhatian DSP, SHOs and five medics managed to escape from the court.
