Islamabad: 36 alleged lawbreakers arrested in twin cities
ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: A police spokesman said on Tuesday that Islamabad police have arrested nine alleged lawbreakers from various areas of the city and recovered three cars, 24 cans of beer and weapons, while Rawalpindi police arrested 27 alleged law offenders. According to details, Kohsar Police Station Assistant Sub–inspector Asif recovered a tampered car from Syed Mustafa, while Sub–inspector Shafaqat Ali from the Anti–Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) recovered another car from Javed Akbar. ACLC ASI Muhammad Akbar recovered a tampered car from Zahid Hussain.
Meanwhile, Aabpara Police Station ASI Zahara Khan arrested Sajid Younas for wheeling. Golra Police Station ASI Ghulam Abbas arrested Imran for possessing a 30–bore pistol and two magazines. Tarnol Police Station ASI Irfan Ullah arrested Noor Muhammad and recovered a 30–bore gun, while Sabzi Mandi Police Station Sub–inspector Muhammad Sharif apprehended Naveed and recovered a 12-bore gun and 24 cartridges.
ASI Muhammad Munir arrested Qamar Hussain and recovered a 30-bore pistol, while Shahzad Town police Station ASI Muhammad Farooq nabbed Raja Ibrar and recovered a 30–bore pistol and 24 cans of beer. On the other hand, a Rawalpindi police spokesman said that policemen from New Town Police Station arrested Zaheer and recovered 1,130 grammes of charas, while Waris Khan police apprehended Usman and recovered 1,050g charas.
Sadiqabad police arrested Abdullah for possessing 215grammes of charas. Meanwhile, Pirwadhai police conducted a raid at Cheema Plaza and arrested seven gamblers who were betting while playing cards. The policemen recovered seven mobile phones and the stake money, which amounted to Rs 50,220.
