Rawalpindi: Fireworks sellers among 13 outlaws arrested
RAWALPINDI: In an ongoing operation against anti–social elements, police held 13 men on account of having narcotics, illegal weapons and fireworks sellers from various localities of the city. Some 4,985 grams of Charas, 1,078 bottles of liquor, 3 pistols of 30 bore with 6 bullets, 1 revolver of 32 bore with 2 bullets, one 12 bore riffle and huge quantity of fireworks were recovered by police the possessions of detainees, being interrogated after filing cases against them, informed police spokesman here on Friday.
According to him Police Station (PS) Waris Khan stopped Naseer and Mumtaz during a routine checking and conducted search during which police recovered 2450 gram charas from their possession while PS Sadiqabad arrested Riaz and recovered 1050 gram charas from his custody. Similarly, PS Pirwadhi officials catched Zeeshan and recovered 317 gram charas from him. In an action, PS City officials took Nauman into custody after recovering 120 gram charas from him.PS Gujar Khan officials recovered 1050 bottles of liquor from Nadeem. PS Ratta Amral held Amjad and recovered 28 bottle of liquor from his possession.PS Waris Khan arrested Kamran and recovered a pistol 30 bore along 3 rounds from him.
PS Taxila officials recovered a pistol 30 bore from Iqrar. Westridge police held Waqas and recovered a pistol 32 bore along 2 rounds from him. PS Kalar Syedan police held Mansoor and recovered a pistol 12 bore from his possession. Waris Khan police arrested Umair and Shahbaz and recovered firecrackers material from their possession. Police have registered separate cases against all of them and started investigation, he added.
